Climatest Symor® Dry Cabinet for Electronic Components provides long-term low humidity storage solutions. Equipped with an advanced dehumidification system, moisture-sensitive components properly stored in the drying cabinet can extend the life of the workshop. Popcorn and micro-cracks are no longer a problem. The drying cabinet complies with IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 standards.

During the SMT reflow soldering process, water vapor penetrate the components, and the absorbed moisture rapidly expands inside, causing invisible damage, such as wiring failures, popcorning, micro-cracks, and even surface cracks. These defects are not easy to detect, these invisible, latent problems entered the market, bringing returns and complaints.

Moisture in the ambient penetrates into the packages.

During heating, the water steam pressure increases, that separates the die and resin.

The water steam continues to expand under heating, blowing up the packages.

The water steam breaks the packages, which causes micro-cracking.

MSL components are sensitive to humidity and have certain requirements for the storage environment. Unlike civilian moisture-proof drying cabinets, Climatest Symor® drying cabinets can reach low humidity points and have fast dehumidifying and recovery time, and they should also be ESD-safe, these cabinets comply with IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 standards.

❊ Method: Sealed moisture barrier bags, with desiccants and humidity indicator card (HIC) inside, users identify the humidity in the sealed packages by checking the color change of the dots on the HIC.

A: The dehumidifying unit lifespan is +15 years, it’s fixed onto the dry storage cabinet by screws, pls use a screwdriver to replace it, it’s easy to operate.
